Hawthorn, in conjunction with Major Community Partner beyondblue, is encouraging all members and supporters to take one step for mental health by joining in the beyondblue March from Federation Square to the MCG prior to the Round 18 clash against Sydney.

X Factor runner-up and beyondblue supporter Andrew Wishart will entertain fans with a live performance at Federation Square, as well as a football and mental health panel with beyondblue Ambassadors Brad McEwan, Nathan Thompson and Troy Luff.

By joining the march, you will be showing your support for the vital work beyondblue do nationwide to tackle anxiety and depression. It’s also a great way to kick off the annual beyondblue Cup between top four rivals the Hawks and the Swans.

Now in it’s ninth year, the beyondblue Cup is a fantastic vehicle to raise awareness and also reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Make sure you keep and eye out for beyondblue volunteers who will be handing out wristbands and information around the MCG pre-match. If you would like to find out more about their programs, visit the mini Roadshow Bus, which will be located between Gates 2 and 3 on the concourse.
