HAWTHORN could have some tough decisions to make at the selection table ahead of Friday night’s match with Carlton.

Bradley Hill is expected to be available to play, as are fellow premiership players Taylor Duryea and Will Langford.

Key defender James Frawley could also be in contention when the match committee meets later this week.

Hill was a late withdrawal from the Hawks’ side that won by 89 points against Sydney Swans on Saturday night with a corked calf.

GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan said Hill’s withdrawal had been a precautionary measure, after he picked up the minor injury at training on Thursday last week.

“We just thought we’d be fairly cautious with him,” Fagan said.

“He’s an important player to us so we made the decision to leave him out, but he’s made a good recovery from that and he’ll train today.

“We expect him to be available for selection for Friday night.”

Taylor Duryea, James Frawley and Will Langford could also return to the frame for senior selection.

Duryea and Langford have missed a week each with shoulder and knee soreness respectively, while Frawley has missed the past three weeks after dislocating his shoulder in Round 13 against Essendon.

Fagan said Langford had trained well over the weekend.

“He’s had a little bit of knee soreness - we thought we’d take the opportunity just to give him a bit of a rest and be able to get that to settle down,” he said.

“The expectation is that he’ll be available for football this weekend.”

Fagan said Frawley would train fully this week and could return from injury through the AFL or VFL, while Duryea will undergo a test on his shoulder on Thursday.
