GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan says Hawks defender Matt Spangher will face a three-to-four week stint on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Spangher injured his right hamstring during the club’s Round 17 match against Carlton and was subbed out of the game in the second quarter.

In this week’s Bupa Recovery Report, Fagan also talks about Will Langford’s knee injury, and says Liam Shiels, Ben Stratton, Taylor Duryea and James Frawley will all be pushing for selection against Richmond.

Spangher's injury could open the door for Frawley, who returned from a shoulder injury for VFL affiliate Box Hill Hawks at the weekend.
