The versatile big man is an excellent contested mark, strong in one-on-one contests and keeps a cool head under pressure. He enjoyed an excellent 2018 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, earning All-Australian honours before a hip complaint ended his season early. The cousin of former St Kilda star Justin Koschitzke, he shapes as a long-term key defender for the Hawks. In his first season at the Hawks in 2019, Koschitzke gained experience at either end of the ground across his 13 appearances for Box Hill at VFL level.
