Baskaran played all 10 games for Hawthorn in her debut campaign, despite completing Year 12 studies. The 18-year-old averaged 10.5 disposals and 5.1 tackles, finishing seventh in Hawthorn’s inaugural best and fairest. Prior to being drafted by the Hawks, Baskaran captained the Western Jets to their first ever Grand Final win (male or female) while averaging 27.6 disposals, 6.6 tackles, 5.3 clearances and 4.2 inside 50s. She was also named captain of the NAB League Girls Team of the Year and was runner-up in the competition’s best and fairest award.
