Baskaran has played all 20 games in Hawthorn’s AFLW history, despite completing Year 12 studies in her first season last year. The 19-year-old finished seventh in Hawthorn’s inaugural best and fairest before going on to be nominated for the AFLW’s Rising Star award in 2023. Prior to being drafted by the Hawks, the star midfielder captained the Western Jets to their first ever Grand Final win (male or female) while averaging 27.6 disposals, 6.6 tackles, 5.3 clearances and 4.2 inside 50s. She was also named captain of the NAB League Girls Team of the Year and was runner-up in the competition’s best and fairest award.
