Hawthorn Coach Sam Mitchell says the belief in his young side is slowly growing following an impressive start to the season with two consecutive wins.

The Hawks took home an upset win on Saturday night, defeating the Power by 64 points at Adelaide Oval.

Mitchell said he encouraged his youthful side to "enjoy the experience" prior to the game.

"From our perspective, the belief that our players start to get - we know that our best can match it with those top teams now," Mitchell said.

"(But) we're by no means a finished product, we've got plenty of work to do on our own game."
