Hawthorn fans can rejoice with the news that fan favourite Dylan Moore has signed on with the club until at least the end of 2026.

Despite strong rival interest, the life-long Hawks fan has remained committed to the brown and gold as he looks to help lead the club into its next phase of success.

Finishing in third place in last year's Peter Crimmins Medal count, the 23-year-old emerged as one of the game's best forward-midfielders in 2022, averaging 20.2 disposals, 5.6 marks, 4.2 tackles, 3.9 inside 50s and 1.2 goals across his 22 appearances.

Moore was the only player in the competition last year to average at least 20 disposals and 1.2 goals per game.

National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie said Moore's signature was a significant moment for the club on a number of fronts.

"Moorey is the type of player and character that you can really build an up and coming club around," McKenzie said.

"He is extremely highly regarded by those within the club for his work both on-field and off-field.

"On-field, he is a hard-worker who is willing to put the team first and squeeze every last bit out of himself, while off-field he is a bloke that our people love being around and really respect.

"We're delighted that he will be extending with us as we continue to build towards this exciting future."

Meanwhile Moore himself said he couldn’t be happier to commit his future to the Hawks.

“I love the footy club, I love the boys here, I love the whole environment,” Moore said.

“It couldn’t have been an easier decision for me – another three years, I can’t wait.”
