Hawthorn defender Catherine Brown is back home recovering from surgery after successfully going under the knife to repair her ruptured ACL.
The 29-year-old defender was sidelined with the season-ending injury at training a fortnight ago.
AFLW High Performance Manager Olivia Knowles said Brown was in strong spirits.
“She'll undergo surgery and then we'll look to allow her to recover and then get into her rehab which will be great,” Knowles said.
Meantime, utility Casey Dumont will be managed from scrimmage minutes this week after suffering an ankle injury.
