Last time we met

Hawthorn (47) defeated Adelaide (44) in Round 14, 2025.

Hawthorn came from nowhere to steal a three-point win over Adelaide at UTAS Stadium earlier this season.

Jai Newcombe had been relatively shut out of the game by Sam Berry, but you only need one moment to turn a game, and he proved to be the match-winner, pouncing on the loose footy in the final few minutes to secure Hawthorn a three-point victory, 6.11 (47) to 5.14 (44).

Josh Weddle and Jarman Impey provided plenty of bounce out of defence for the Hawks, finishing with 23 and 28 disposals respectively, the highest for the Hawks.

In a low-scoring affair, Connor Macdonald and Jack Gunston scored two goals apiece with six and eight score involvements each, while Newcombe and Mabior Chol each booted one.

Weddle, Impey, Gunston, Dylan Moore and Lloyd Meek were among the brown and gold’s best.
