CEO Justin Reeves has penned the following letter to Hawthorn members.
Dear members,
As a valued member of the Hawthorn Football Club, I’d like to update you on the club’s current position regarding the ever-evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
As a club, we are doing our best to maintain a ‘business as usual’ approach as we prepare for the upcoming season. We’re looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible cheering on the Hawks when we take on the Lions at the MCG in Round 1.
However, the health and safety of our players, staff, members and fans is, and always will be, our number one priority.
In the interests of our players, coaches and staff, we will be restricting access to the Ricoh Centre, here at Waverley Park, as of today.
We are in constant discussions with the AFL and government health authorities and will be guided by their advice to ensure we are best-placed to play our role in the containment of COVID-19.
Our hard working membership team will continue to service your needs and can be contacted on 13000 HAWKS and through our membership website.
The HawksNest shop is currently trading as usual, however visitors will be asked to complete some basic COVID-19 safety questions upon entering. If possible, we encourage you all to arrange your Hawthorn merchandise via hawksnestonline.com.au. As a precautionary measure, the Hawks Museum will be temporarily closed until further notice.
Open training ahead of Round 1 will unfortunately be cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will maintain regular communication with all our members as the current situation evolves.
