Eardley was drafted by the Hawks from the Dandenong Stingrays, where she averaged 14 disposals, four rebound 50s and three marks as co-captain. She also made the NAB League Girls Team of the Year and earned U18 All Australian honours while representing Vic Country. An athletic defender with a booming kick, the 19-year-old looked like a natural in her first AFLW season, averaging seven disposals. She went on to play another nine games in 2023 and finished eighth in the club’s best and fairest.
