Kinetic Stadium, Frankston

There are a variety of different options available for anyone who is travelling to our Hawks games in Frankston to make it easy to enjoy the game. 

Public Transport 

Frankston Train Station is approximately a 9 minute walk from Kinetic Stadium. With regular departures from various Metro Melbourne stations, it's an easy way to get to and from the game. The route that will be the most direct if walking is via the Young Street exit, where you will turn left and follow the road along until you arrive at the Stadium. To plan your journey visit ptv.vic.gov.au/journey. 

By Car

Frankston is approx 45 min drive from the Melbourne. There is a wide variety of public car parks available, however, fees and restrictions may apply, so please check signage.

  • Frankston Arts Centre Car Park undercover car park ($2.50 for the first hour, $8 for all day and night rate is $6.50 entering after 4pm) – 5 minute walk to stadium  
  • Bayside Shopping Centre Entertainment Complex (fees apply) –11 minute walk to stadium  
  • Frankston Train Station – 9 minute walk to stadium  
  • High Street
  • Beauty Park
  • Nepean Highway

We recommend arriving early to get a good parking spot close to the game. 

Cazalys Stadium, Westcourt, Cairns

Public Transport

Taxis - At the conclusion of the match, Taxi’s will be available from the Tills Street and Cazalys Social Club taxi ranks.

Sun Bus – Current Timetables are available at http://www.sunbus.com.au/cairns/.  Buses depart Cairns Central Terminal, Spence Street every 20 minutes on weekdays and 30 minutes on weekends to Mulgrave Road on Bus 141, 142 or 143.

Car and parking information

There is limited parking available within close proximity to Cazalys Stadium.

Where to eat, bars and nightlife  
Pre or post-match celebrations or commiserations? Frankston’s bars and nightlife venues will be waiting for you. For hearty meals, rooftop bars, cosy corners, live music, dance floors, and large pubs, you find these great venues in walking distance to the Stadium: 
Restaurants: Betty’s Burgers, TGIFridays,Grill’d, Benny’s Smokehouse, YOMG, Martini and Co 
Entertainment: General Public Holey Moley, Strike Bowling, Excape Frankston   
Rooftop Bars: The Deck, Hotel Lona Moon Dog Beach Club 
Pubs and Bars: The Grand Hotel, Cheeky Squire, Hop Shop, Commonfolk Frankston, Young Street Tavern  
 

Beach and Waterfront  
You can’t visit the city without checking out the Frankston Waterfront. Bookended by Oliver’s Corner (café and bar) and Little Ollies (caravan coffee), you will find boardwalks, bridges, lookouts, Piers and playgrounds, offering scenic views of Port Phillip Bay, and on a clear day, Melbourne City! Pack your bathers, it’s great for a swim.  

Arts and Culture 
Boasting over 100 artworks and sculptures, you have landed in one of Victoria’s street art and sculpture hot spots. You can explore the self-guided route, around 1.5 hours walking or jump on one of the tours. Dates and times coming soon.   

Parks and Gardens 
Need to get the KM’s up before a big match? George Pentland Botanic Gardens and Sweet Water Creek are two lush green nature reserves in proximity to the Stadium for you to walk of those pre-game nerves.  

Shopping and Essentials 
Bayside Shopping Centre is within walking distance of Kinetic Stadium and offers a range of boutique brands, sports shops, and groceries. Perfect for a little retail therapy or that jumper you forgot!

Visiting For the Day?

There is so much to discover in Frankston. This beachside town is the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and is a vibrant and exciting location with something to offer everyone. Whether you're a local or a visitor, there are plenty of places to explore, such as the Award winning Street Art walking tour, Arts Centres and Galleries, historical locations such as Cruden Farm and Mulberry Hill, Beer and Spirits trails, Aquatics Centre plus a pristine waterfront that deliver the perfect backdrop to stunning sunsets as we witnessed first hand.
