Hawthorn will take on Sydney in Launceston in an ANZAC Day clash this Monday.

Following a nail-biting finish against Geelong, the Hawks will endeavour to keep the winning momentum going when they play their first game in Tasmania for 2022.

For the first time, the Hawks will proudly wear a dedicated ANZAC guernsey, honouring those who have served the country as both teams battle it out for the Alec Campbell Cup.

Campbell was the last surviving Gallipoli veteran and was a Launceston local.

As part of the guernsey sales and in continued support of the RSL, Hawthorn will donate to the RSL’s 2022 ANZAC Appeal.

The match will mark just the second time Hawthorn has played the Swans in Tasmania.

Our last game

Hawthorn (92) defeated Geelong (80)

The Hawks had a thrilling win against the Cats in last week’s Easter Monday blockbuster.

The first quarter could not have started off better with the brown and gold scoring three goals within the first six minutes.

Geelong put on an impressive fight to come back and lead in the third quarter, but the Hawks managed to ultimately contain their run.

A match saving contest from Luke Breust allowed Mitch Lewis to kick the game winning goal for the Hawks.

In his 200th game, Jack Gunston kicked three goals, while Jai Newcombe was outstanding earning the NAB Rising Star Nomination for Round 5.

Lewis, James Sicily, Dylan Moore, Jack Scrimshaw and Jarman Impey were named as Hawthorn's best.
