Tom Mitchell has received his first MVP for 2022, earning the nod from fans following Hawthorn’s loss to Sydney at UTAS on Monday.

The 28-year-old's game was highlighted by an impressive first half, before he went on to finish the match with a team-high 26 disposals and seven score involvements.

Mitchell put in the work despite the Hawks going down by 41-points, recording a season-high seven tackles along with 11 contested possessions.

The reigning 2021 MVP winner continued his form of posting a high disposal efficiency, with a 73.1 per cent rate on his 26 possessions.

Mitchell has averaged 28.5 disposals a game so far this season following the first six rounds.
