Exciting defender Changkuoth Jiath headlines a host of inclusions to Hawthorn's extended squad ahead of the club's Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with Brisbane at UTAS Stadium on Sunday.

Jiath has been included in the squad after having made a successful comeback from his hamstring injury which saw him miss the last month of football.

Tom Mitchell, Ned Long, Kyle Hartigan, Liam Shiels, Jackson Callow and Daniel Howe are the other additions to the 26-man squad.

Mitchell was managed last week, while Howe re-enters the squad following an impressive 26-disposal performance with Box Hill last Sunday.

Forward Jack Gunston (injured), James Worpel (omitted), Connor Macdonald (medical sub) and Finn Maginness (omitted) are the four confirmed outs from the side that went down to the Tigers last week.

The Hawks will be hoping to get back on the winners’ list, while the in-form Lions will be looking to continue their strong start to the season.

Hawthorn will announce its Round 10 team on Friday at 5pm.
