Season summary:

Moore re-affirmed his status as among the league's premier half forwards in 2023, averaging a career-high 20.9 disposals per game and almost a goal a game. Elected as co-vice captain this season, Moore's leadership was among the areas of his game that flourished across the year, so much so he was given the opportunity to lead the side as captain in James Sicily's absence in Round 15. Having only turned 24 this year, Moore will no doubt look to add further layers to his already elite game, as he looks to help lift the Hawks back into finals contention in the years ahead.

Best AFL game:

Moore was instrumental in Hawthorn's Round 3 win over North Melbourne, helping drag his side over the line in an inspirational performance. Collecting 26 touches, taking 12 marks and having two goal assists, Moore booted also two majors of his own, including the sealer in the dying moments of the victory down at UTAS Stadium.

What the General Manager of Football said:

"Moorey is the ultimate teammate and was the ideal third piece in our captaincy structure. He has an incredible hunger for hard work, and he is also one of the most respected members at Hawthorn. Moorey's journey has been built on resilience and hard-work, and his opportunity to to stand in as captain this season was well-deserved." - Rob McCartney
