Hawthorn's seven new players have received their numbers for 2024, while one Hawk has changed numbers from 2023.

Having worn the No. 39 in 2022, Hawthorn midfielder Emily Bates will now revert back to the No. 1 she wore for the previous seven seasons in the competition.

Her locker buddy will be former Dee Eliza West, who will don the No. 2 in 2024.

West previously wore the No. 11 for Melbourne, but that number currently belongs to Hawks defender Jenna Richardson.

West's former Melbourne and current Hawthorn teammate Casey Sherriff will wear the No. 14 this year after Charlotte Baskaran vacated the number in 2023.

Two of Hawthorn's pre-signings will aim to continue the legacy of retired players Tamara Luke and Sarah Perkins, with Laura Stone set to don the No. 22 and Jess Vukic to wear the No. 23.

Hayley McLaughlin gets to keep the number she wore at the Eastern Ranges, taking the No. 6 guernsey for her debut season in brown and gold.

Draftee Mikayla Williamson will also have big shoes to fill, bringing the No. 27 back for 2024.

That number was previously worn by inaugural Hawthorn vice-captain and leading goalkicker Jess Duffin, who is now retired.

Rounding out the new numbers is the No. 28, which will be worn for the first time in Hawthorn AFLW history by Sophie Butterworth.
