Hawthorn will begin its quest for back-to-back Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) premierships on Sunday 28 April, with AFL Victoria confirming the competition fixtures. 

The Hawks are set for a Grand Final rematch with Richmond to begin their season, with the game commencing at 1pm AEST before the Community team faces the Tigers at 2pm AEST.

The State Netball & Hockey Centre will be the home of Victorian wheelchair footy in 2024, with the season consisting of 10 rounds followed by two weeks of finals, with the Grand Final being played on Sunday 4 August at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).

The VWFL is entering its seventh season in 2024, with the Hawks forming one of five wheelchair teams from AFL clubs, including Richmond, Collingwood, St Kilda and Essendon.

Hawthorn's squad is also shaping up nicely ahead of the 2024 season, with Brady Cochrane, Finn Broadbent, Hayden Auber, Jo Argaet, Mitch Bond, Rhys Higgins, Yassin Hill and Andrew Harrison all returning. 

Two new supplementary players have been added to the list with Aaron Jardim and Andria Kauer given an opportunity to represent the brown and gold.
