Hawthorn Captain James Sicily has been voted as the Round 14 MVP after leading from the front in his side's 48-point win over Richmond at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Sicily controlled the game from start to finish, dominating in defence with his elite kicking and decision-making.

His stats told the story, with the 29-year-old recording game-highs in disposals (33), kicks (28), marks (15), metres gained (881) and intercept possessions (10).

Sicily also went at 81.8 per cent efficiency, highlighting his precision by hand and foot across the afternoon.

His MVP performance now takes his 2024 season averages up to 21.7 disposals, 15.2 kicks, 8.2 intercept possessions and 7.6 marks per game.

Hawthorn has a bye this week before taking on West Coast on Sunday 30 June at Optus Stadium.
