Hawthorn AFLW Senior Coach Daniel Webster will remain at the helm until at least the end of 2026 after putting pen to paper on a contract extension.
Already contracted until the end of 2025, Webster’s extension ensures he’ll continue to lead the club for at least the next two years.
Webster’s re-signing follows an incredible first year as AFLW Senior Coach, leading Hawthorn to a maiden finals appearance in the club’s most successful season since joining the competition in 2022.
Introducing a new wave of exciting and attacking football, Webster’s side dropped just one game in 2024 to finish second on the ladder at the end of the home and away season, with many Hawks elevating themselves to enjoy career-best campaigns.
Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey acknowledged the work Webster has put into the program.
“We’re really excited about the direction of the club with Daniel as our AFLW Senior Coach,” Bailey said.
“Given the strong progress already made, we wanted to lock in this extension ahead of the season to ensure he remains Senior Coach for at least the next two years.
“With an inspired and highly motivated playing group, Daniel continues to demonstrate his strong connection with our players, whilst utilising his exceptional communication skills to get the best from them.”
