Hawthorn has fallen short to St Kilda in the 2025 Victorian Blind Football League (VBFL) Grand Final.
Taking place at Game On Indoor Sports Centre in Tullamarine, the Hawks battled valiantly but were ultimately defeated by the minor premiers, 83-92.
The nine-point loss secures a runner-up finish for the brown and gold after another fantastic season, making their third Grand Final in as many years.
After trailing at quarter-time on Saturday, Hawthorn bounced back to lead by six at the main break, and then by 10 in the third term.
In the fourth, the Saints flexed their muscles and ran out as 2025 premiers.
Captain Ned Brewer Maiga shone with four goals while Brad Brider and Steve Obeid each contributed one major.
The result means that Hawthorn's VBFL and Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) seasons have now come to an end after the brown and gold's VWFL teams missed out on finals.
The Hawks thank everyone for their support throughout the year and look forward to celebrating the players' achievements in 2025.
