Vice-Captain Eliza West has kicked off her 2025 season in style, being voted the Nature Valley MVP in the Hawks’ Round 1 win over Brisbane on Sunday.
In her 50th AFLW game, the reigning Hawthorn Best and Fairest winner collected 25 disposals, including a game-high 18 contested possessions.
The 28-year-old's dominance around ground was further highlighted by her eight intercept possessions, six tackles and four clearances, as well as a game-high six inside 50s.
West and the Hawks will host Carlton in Round 2, on Saturday night at Kinetic Stadium.
