Hawthorn defender Karl Amon has been voted in by the brown and gold faithful as the Round 24 Superhero of the Week.

The 30-year-old was his usual reliable self across the half-back line in Hawthorn's 10-point loss to Brisbane at the Gabba on Sunday night.

Amon finished the night with a game-high 34 disposals, a game-high 956 metres gained, eight intercept possessions, six inside 50s and six score involvements.

The classy defender has now ended the home-and-away season with strong averages of 593.1 metres gained (ranked elite), 24.2 disposals (ranked above average), 4.8 marks, 4.8 score involvements and 3.7 intercept possessions.

Amon and the Hawks will now turn their attention to finals, having qualified for the second straight season.
