Hawthorn midfielder Jai Newcombe has been named Superhero of the Week for his performance in Hawthorn's 19-point win over GWS in Saturday's Elimination Final. 

Newcombe was dominant in his 100th game, setting the tone for the afternoon by slotting the first goal of the game.

The 24-year-old amassed a team-high 32 disposals, of which 17 were contested possessions, a team-high.

Through the middle and in attack, he was a force to be reckoned with, collecting an equal game-high 12 clearances as well as an equal game-high eight score involvements.

Newcombe and the Hawks now turn their attention to a Semi Final match-up against the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
