Jai Serong has taken out Box Hill's Col Austen Trophy as the club’s best and fairest player for a second straight season.

The 22-year-old defender turned winger had another standout season at VFL level in 2025. Playing 20 of a possible 21 games, Serong averaged 21.4 disposals and 7.3 marks per game.

On four occasions, he finished with 20-plus disposals and 10-plus marks, which included in Round 8 against the Gold Coast Suns (28 disposals, 11 marks), against the Brisbane Lions in Round 9 (26 and 12), Round 15 against Sandringham (27 and 10), and in Round 17 against Williamstown (25 and 11).

Fellow AFL-listed Hawk Henry Hustwaite came in as runner-up from 17 games at the level.  

The 21-year-old averaged 29.4 disposals and nine clearances per game, having collected 30-plus disposals in 10 of his 17 appearances with Box Hill.

And in third place was VFL-listed Trent Bianco, who suited up in all 21 possible games in his first season in brown and gold. He averaged 21.1 disposals, 4.9 marks and 1.8 tackles per game.

Other AFL-listed award winners included Hustwaite also taking out the President’s Award for Leading Votes in the J.J. Liston Trophy (VFL League Best and Fairest) with 18 votes, as well as the Best in Finals. Noah Mraz was named the VFL Best First Year Player and Max Ramsden was the recipient of The Mirra Award as the Players’ Player, voted by his peers.

While in the VFLW, Matilda Van Berkel took the honours as the side’s Club Champion.

The 23-year-old defender had a stellar season, playing every possible game for the Hawks in 2025. She was consistent and reliable throughout the year, averaging 15.4 disposals, 4.9 marks and 3.4 tackles a game. Another accolade for her season, having recently been included in the 2025 VFLW Team of the Year.

Paige Price was named the runner- up VFLW Club Champion, with Isla Baldwin rounding out the podium in third place.
