Hawthorn Football Club wishes to advise that its Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 16 December 2025.

As per the club's constitution, the corporate governance model of staggered director terms ensure that at every AGM, a portion of the board will come up for election. This year Andy Gowers (President), Katie Hudson, Anne-Marie Pellizzer and James Merlino finish their current terms and will all be seeking re-election by the members for a further three-year term.

Those who would like to submit an expression of interest for a Director position can contact the Club via ceo@hawthornfc.com.au. Expressions of interest open from from Monday, 29 September, closing Friday, 17 October.

As has been best practice, a Nominations Committee will be convened to consider expressions of interest and make a recommendation to the Board on who it believes should be the Board-endorsed candidates based on its assessment of applications, and the skills and expertise required by the Club. The 2025 Nominations Committee comprises two Hawthorn directors:

  • Owen Wilson (Chair)
  • Ian Silk

And four Independent Members:

  • Geoff Harris – Australian businessman and club philanthropist
  • Lucinda Nolan – CEO;  Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation
  • Merryl Dooley – Chief People and Culture Officer, Bapcor Ltd
  • Jordan Lewis – commentator, businessman and former Hawthorn premiership player

The Board will consider the recommendations of the Nominations Committee and inform members of its endorsed candidates ahead of the voting period, which will be held (if required) between Monday, 1 December and Friday, 12 December.
