Hawthorn extends its support to two-time premiership player Geoff Ablett after news of his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis.

Ablett played 202 games for the brown and gold across 10 seasons, including playing in Hawthorn’s 1976 and 1978 premierships.

The 70-year-old was diagnosed with MND at the end of last year after feeling weakness in his leg.

Ablett is now only mobile via a wheelchair and requires special care.

The Ablett family have set up a Go Fund Me page.
