Steph Binder has again been appointed to the the VFLW State Team coaching panel for a second straight year.

Binder, who is Hawthorn’s AFLW Backline Coach and a Box Hill Specialist Coach, was part of the coaching panel for the VFLW’s inaugural State Team last season.

Binder has been in brown and gold since the beginning of the 2024 season, spearheading the AFLW defensive unit. That season saw her named the recipient of the 2024 AFL Coaches Association Women’s Coaching Pathway Scholarship.

Prior to that she spent time with Collingwood’s AFLW program as a Development Coach, and before that she was North Melbourne’s VFLW Senior Coach for two seasons.

Binder will support two-time North Melbourne Werribee premiership coach, Brett Gourley, who will lead the VFLW team. Frankston coach Jackson Kornberg takes the reins of the VFL side.

The Box Hill Hawks representation also extends to the support staff in both the VFL and VFLW teams. Matt Manfe, Box Hill’s VFL Football Operations Coordinator, has been named as the Property Manager for the men’s big V side. Meantime, Chantelle Campbell will be the Analyst for the VFLW team.

Both matches will take place during South Australia's annual week of football festivities, with both the women's and men's representative clashes to be held on Saturday 11 April. The women's will take place at 12pm (ACST) followed by the men's match at 2.30pm (ACST).
