Hodge has been fined for rough conduct against Sydney Swan Callum Sinclair.

HAWTHORN captain Luke Hodge has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Sydney Swans ruckman Callum Sinclair.

Hodge was sighted by the AFL’s Match Review Panel for his tackle on Sinclair in the second quarter of Thursday night’s match at the SCG.

The Match Review Panel deemed the incident as careless conduct with low impact to the head, based on the medical report from the Sydney Swans and available video evidence.

The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction, with Hodge having no applicable record which impacts the penalty.

An early plea enables Hodge to accept a $1000 sanction.
