Hawthorn has confirmed three changes to its line-up ahead of its Easter Monday clash with Geelong on Monday.

Midfielder Jaeger O’Meara headlines the trio of inclusions into the Round 5 side, having missed last week’s loss to St Kilda with a corked hip.

O’Meara is enjoying a career-best year, averaging 28.7 disposals, 7.7 tackles and a goal per game, and will be a welcome recall to the Hawks midfield.

Key position pair Mitchell Lewis and Kaiden Brand have also been added to the side for their first appearances of the season.

Both Lewis and Brand have been rewarded for strong form with Box Hill at VFL level.

Hawthorn GM – Football Graham Wright said the club was confident with the personnel it has named to take on the Cats.

“We’re pleased to add Jaeger back into the team after his week off with injury last week,” Wright said.

“Mitch Lewis and Kaiden Brand have also been consistent performers at state league level, so they get their chance as well.”

Key defender James Frawley will miss his first match of the year after he injured his hamstring in Round 4, while ruckman Jonathon Ceglar and backman David Mirra have been left out of this week’s side.

Hawthorn will host Geelong at 3.20pm on Monday at the MCG, as the side looks to record its third win of the year.
