The AFL has broken its all-time season attendance record for the third year in a row.

During Richmond's clash with Brisbane on Sunday, the total attendance figure for the 2019 season hit 6,894,771.

Richmond members Kirsten and Thom Chrystiuk, their children Milla (8), Benji (5) and Daisy (4), and grandmother Sandra were the record-breaking attendees.

The AFL's general manager of commercial, Kylie Rogers, rewarded the record breakers with tickets to the 2019 AFL Grand Final – which will be a first for the Sunbury family.
