Star midfielder Will Day has been named to make his return in this Saturday afternoon's Round 20 clash against Essendon at the MCG.
The 25-year-old was managed in last week's victory over Richmond, while nursing a minor corked calf, but is fully fit for this weekend's battle.
Coming out of the team is emerging forward Will McCabe, who has been omitted.
This Saturday, the Hawks will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of their 1976 premiership, and 40 years since lifting the Cup in 1986.
A host of premiership heroes from the '76 and '86 teams will be presented on-field at half-time, with the brown and gold faithful encouraged to stay in their seats to honour the former greats.
