A trio of recruits will make their club debut on Thursday night in Hawthorn’s season opener against the Demons at IKON Park.
Jacqueline Dupuy, Niamh Martin and Poppy Stockwell will officially don the brown and gold for the first time in Round 1.
Dupuy joined the Hawks via the 2025 trade period after 49 games with the Gold Coast Suns over five seasons.
The 32-year-old key forward has made an immediate impact in the brown and gold, with elite marking capabilities and leadership qualities.
In added sentimental significance, Dupuy grew up a Hawthorn supporter and will wear the number 38 guernsey that her grandfather, Geoff, wore when he played for the Hawks back in 1957. This also marks her 50th game at AFLW level.
Martin was also part of the Hawks' 2025 trade portfolio, joining the club after two seasons with North Melbourne.
The 25-year-old played 16 games for the Kangaroos, including the 2023 Grand Final, before spending 2025 back home in Ireland to complete her studies.
Martin represented the Irish side earlier this month as part of the representative team that faced Australia in the inaugural AFLW International clash.
Stockwell joined the Hawks early in the 2026 pre-season as an injury replacement player.
The crafty small forward played two games for Fremantle in the 2025 season, where she was also listed as a replacement player.
Fresh off a strong start to the WAFLW season with the Perth Demons in 2026, Stockwell has brought her keen goal sense and forward pressure to the brown and gold.

“Having Jac as a target ahead of the ball adds a different dimension to our forward mix, Niamh’s pace and agility will be a real asset for us as will Poppy’s pressure around the footy and in front of goal.
“We have all been impressed with how Jac, Niamh and Poppy have applied themselves since arriving, they have built strong connections within the program and added to both the on field and off field environment.
“We’re really excited by what each of them brings to our group and look forward to seeing that in action for the first time on Thursday night.”
Hawthorn will unveil its full Round 1 team tonight at 6.20pm.
