Hawthorn midfielder Jai Newcombe has polled the most Hawks votes at the 2026 Brownlow Medal count for a fifth straight season. 

For a team that fell just short of a Grand Final, Newcombe's 21 votes were relatively low, but they reflected the club's even spread this season.

A total of 14 players picked up at least one vote, but Connor McDonald (11) was the only player apart from Newcombe to hit double figures.

Nick Watson only getting nine votes in an extraordinary season is somewhat of a shock, but they don't call it the midfielders' medal for nothing.
