Hawthorn has farewelled James Blanck, Henry Hustwaite, Bodie Ryan, Cody Anderson and Jaime Uhr-Henry after they were not offered contracts for the 2027 season. 

Blanck joined the Hawks with Pick 16 in the 2022 Mid-Season Draft after a stint with Box Hill, before going on to play 24 AFL games in the brown and gold. 

Hustwaite totalled 11 games during his four seasons at the club, after he was selected with Pick 37 in the 2022 National Draft. 

Picked up in the 2023 National Draft, Ryan played five games in his three seasons with the Hawks.

Anderson and Uhr-Henry did not suit up for an AFL match during their time at the club, with both players spending two seasons on the list.

National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie said:

“We’d like to thank Cody, James, Henry, Bodie and Jaime for their contribution to Hawthorn.

“While these decisions are always difficult, all five players showed maturity throughout their process.

“Cody, James, Henry, Bodie and Jaime were all much-loved teammates and we wish them well in their future endeavours.”

Further announcements will be made in the coming weeks as the club looks to finalise its list in the lead-up to the trade period.
