The Hawks will be forced to make at least one change for the clash against Fremantle, with Dan Howe suspended for the remainder of the home and away season.

Midfielder Jaeger O’Meara appears a strong chance to replace him in a return from a hip injury that saw him withdrawn from the side’s game against Carlton, while veteran Shaun Burgoyne is also a more-than-likely inclusion.

The 351-gamer injured his hamstring in the Hawks’ Round 14 win over the Gold Coast Suns but is set to train fully this week ahead of the side’s trip to Perth.

Versatile defenders Taylor Duryea and Conor Glass could also come into consideration after being named as emergencies last weekend, with the former having missed just his second game for the year.

Meanwhile, Will Langford remains an outside chance to receive a call up in what would be his first game back after sustaining a finger injury in Round 15.

Kieran Lovell is still yet to be seen at the top level in 2018 and, if given the opportunity, could offer some more midfield grunt in Howe’s absence.
