Despite winning their way straight through to the Grand Final and enjoying a well-deserved week's rest, two Hawks appear unlikely to prove their fitness in time for this Sunday's clash.

The pair went down in the side’s semi final win over Collingwood, as Melissa Kuys injured her achilles in the opening minutes, and Dianna Haines suffered a medial ligament injury later in the match.

So, who comes in to fill the void?

One potential inclusion is Olivia Flanagan, who hasn’t played since Round 15 after suffering a hamstring injury.

The 19-year-old could slot straight back in to the Hawks’ forward line should she be declared fit in time to play, while other options the Hawks will consider include forward pair Emily Gilder and Claire Dyett.

Gilder has kicked 11 goals from 13 matches this season, while Dyett has made four appearances, kicking two goals.

Ellie MacDonald is also likely to come under consideration, as will Kara Henderson and Nicky Cormack.

The trio were close to playing in the semi final clash with Collingwood, named as part of the extended squad, and could earn a grand final call up.

MacDonald (seven games in 2018) and Cormack (three) were both included the last time the Hawks faced (and defeated) Geelong in Round 16 and could prove handy inclusions.
