HAWTHORN Football Club has broken it's all-time Tasmanian membership record with 9012 Tasmanians signing on in 2016.

For the first time in the club's history, Hawthorn has surpassed 9000 members in the Apple Isle.

CEO Stuart Fox thanked Tasmanian supporters for their ongoing dedication and support.

“The loyalty of the Hawthorn family in Tasmania is something our club is incredibly thankful for,” Fox said.

“We’re very proud of our unique, long-term partnership with Tasmania and the connection we have formed with the people of Tassie, in particular Launceston."

“I would like to sincerely thank every Tasmanian who has signed on in 2016. We look forward to getting down to Aurora stadium throughout the course of the season and watching the Hawks at our home-away-from-home.”

The Hawks have grown their Tasmanian membership figure from 8948 members last year.

The milestone record brings the club one step closer to achieving 75,000 members for the first time in the club’s history.
