Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston has had minor surgery on his ankle after experiencing some discomfort during pre-Christmas training. 

GM - Football Graham Wright said Gunston's surgery yesterday will see him sidelined from training until early February.  

"Jack is now home recovering and looking forward to getting back into training in the new year, with a view to a return to training as soon as possible," Wright said.
