Hawthorn Assistant Coach Adem Yze says the club will field a strong side ahead of its first pre-season clash against St Kilda on Thursday night.
With three games in the next 15 days, the Hawks have been forced to consider how it will prepare the squad with the 2020 season opener just over a month away.
"The majority of our players that are available to play will play," Yze said.
"So, we will be taking a pretty strong side in to kick off the Marsh Series."
Unable to hide his smile, Yze announced Tom Mitchell will take to the field in the club's first return to Moorabbin since Round 20 1992.
"He's pretty excited about playing and getting back out there amongst his teammates and going to hit some bodies.
"As a coaching staff, we're really happy for him."
The Hawks will take on St Kilda at RSEA Park in Moorabbin at 7.10pm AEDT on Thursday, February 20.
