As voted by the fans, Sam Frost is Hawthorn’s Round 2 MVP, presented by United Petroleum.

In what was a grim showing against Geelong on Friday night, Hawthorn defender Sam Frost fought valiantly under trying circumstances.

Having to defend an enormous 54 forward 50 entries by the Cats, Frost never gave up.

Helping to keep the Cats key forward pair of Tom Hawkins and Esava Ratugolea goalless on the night, Frost’s defensive work was also complemented by a notable offensive influence as well.

The 26-year-old led all comers with a trio of game-high numbers: rebound 50s (six), marks (nine) and contested marks (three).

Furthermore, only James Sicily and Cat Mark O’Connor recorded more one-percenters than the former Demon.

In just his second game in the brown and gold, Frost is quickly acclimating to his new surrounds.
