HAWTHORN has made just one change for Saturday’s blockbuster against Richmond at the MCG, with Shaun Burgoyne returning from suspension.
The Hawks utility served a two-week ban for a high bump on Port Adelaide’s Tom Logan in the Round 16 win over the Power, but has been brought straight back in for Saturday’s clash.
Burgoyne, who re-signed with the Club this week has been one of Hawthorn’s best this season, averaging 19.4 disposals and a goal in each of his 14 games this year.
The unlucky player to be omitted for the silky utility is Jonathan Simpkin, who has been named as an emergency.
Simpkin has made a name for himself this year as Hawthorn’s super sub, having served as the team’s substitute with great effect on a number of occasions this year.
He is joined by Kyle Cheney and ruckman Jonathon Ceglar ast he emergencies for the game against the Tigers.
Veteran defender Brent Guerra will play his 250th AFL match, after being named in the side.
