At the 2013 National and Rookie drafts, Hawthorn welcomed eight new players to the Club, with three selected to join the primary list and four to the rookie list.

Getting to know: James Sicily (Primary list, National Draft pick 56)

What kind of player are you: I can play at half forward or up on the wing.

What are your strengths: Marking and decision-making but I’m also pretty versatile as well.

What can you work on: My strength and putting on weight but also my fitness.

Team supported growing up: Western Bulldogs

Childhood or current sporting hero (non-AFL): Probably LeBron James

Player you believe you play like most: I’ve heard myself compared to Nathan Fyfe but I think I play a bit like Will Hoskin-Elliott from GWS.

Favourite food: Pasta

Favourite meal: Tortellini Carbonara

What is your pump-up song before games: Bring Me To Life by Evanescence

Favourite band or performer: None

Favourite TV show: Criminal Minds

Favourite character in a TV show and why: Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds. He’s so quirky and just makes me laugh.

Do you have any hobbies: I don’t mind playing sport in general, especially golf.

What is your favourite thing to do when you’re at home: Play FIFA on Xbox.

Favourite movie and why: The Blindside because of the storyline. He comes from nothing and then made the pinnacle in the NFL.

Ideal holiday destination: Somewhere hot but not too hot.
