Hawthorn duo Blake Hardwick and Will Day have received coaches' votes following their performances in their side's one-point loss against Yartapuulti on Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Oval.

Hardwick was the equal highest-ranked player on the ground with eight votes, thanks to his career-high five majors.

The 27-year-old also recorded 23 disposals, nine score involvements, six marks, four tackles and 526 metres gained.

Teammate Day received two votes for his efforts against the Power.

The 22-year-old played arguably his best game since returning from a foot injury, tallying 27 disposals to go with five tackles, five clearances, four marks and 534 metres gained.

The star midfielder capped off the day with a miraculous goal in the third quarter, spinning around two Yartapuulti players to slot through his first major of the year. 

The Hawks will now aim to get back to winning ways against Brisbane at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon as part of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
