Mackenzie Eardley remains a test ahead of Round 12, with the forward a chance to travel west to take on the Eagles should she get through training later this week.
Meanwhile, Hannah Looney is a chance to return to the field via the scrimmages after hamstring surgery.
High Performance Manager Aaron Kellett also provided an update on Grace Baba and Matilda Van Berkel’s progress.
Mackenzie Eardley (Ankle) – Test
“Yeah, I spoke last week about Mack rolling her ankle in the match against GWS. She was able to finish the game, but she pulled up really sore. We ended up scanning that ankle, and she sprained a ligament in the medial, the inside of her ankle. She was still a bit too sore to play on the weekend against Essendon. She's been able to resume on-ground running today. We'll see how she pulls up and responds from that tomorrow, with a view to making a decision around what Thursday looks like. So, at this stage, she's a test for the weekend.”
Hannah Looney (Hamstring) – Test
“Hannah's progressed remarkably well. I've spoken of her progressions over the last few weeks. She's squared away the last part of her return-to-play criteria today, pending full training for the rest of the week, which she's done today, but we have a set main session on Thursday which we'd like her to complete at this stage. So, yeah, she's a test for the weekend, to make a remarkable return post hamstring surgery.”
Grace Baba (Ankle) – 1-3 weeks
“Another one who's progressed really, really well over the last few weeks, particularly. Grace has resumed some modified skills, we'll aim to bring her back into the group next week, pending what happens with our progression after the last round. But yeah, at this stage, we're really happy to see Grace moving forward.”
Matilda Van Berkel (Foot) – Season
“Tilly's timeline is still out for the season, but, again, another player that's done remarkably well to get herself back into a modified skills environment. Another player we're looking to make some decisions around bringing back into the main group, pending what happens with our progression for the remainder of the season. But some really, really positive steps, Tilly's done a remarkable job at bringing herself into the frame again from a skills perspective, and keeps squaring away her return-to-play criteria; we're really proud of her.”
