Pre-season training began for the Club's first to fourth year players on Monday as the group headed to Moorabbin for their first session in preparation for season 2014.

With the oval at the Ricoh Centre unavailable due to construction, it was a different surrounding for the players as they were put through their first skills and running sessions of the pre-season.

Under the hot sun, Bradley Hill, Paul Puopolo, Ryan Schoenmakers, Matt Suckling, Sam Grimley, Ben McEvoy, Jonathon Ceglar, Tim O'Brien, Kaiden Brand, Mitch Hallahan, Will Langford, Jordan Kelly, Angus Litherland and International rookie Kurt Heatherley hit the track.

It was the first Hawthorn training session for recruit, McEvoy.

Now on the Club's senior list, Will Langford was keen to impress on day one of pre-season.

In an odd twist of fate, recruit Ben McEvoy's first session as a Hawk was conducted on his old training ground at St Kilda in Moorabbin.

Sam Grimley wrong foots Kiwi recruit Kurt Heatherley before showing his speed and delivering forward.

Now officially a Hawk, Heatherley took part in his first session as an International rookie. Here, he dishes to the running Jordan Kelly.

Youngster Angus Litherland looked in good shape as he returned for training.

Bradley Hill hasn't lost any of his pace and his skills looked as good as ever on the track.

Litherland keeps low as he turns during a running session.

Hill, McEvoy, Kelly and Grimley feel the pinch under the hot sun.

Ryan Schoenmakers looked happy to be out there and training with his teammates.

Hill keeps his eye on the ball as Assistant Coach Adem Yze stands the mark.

Kaiden Brand looked happy to be back as he and his teammates get ready for a kicking drill.
