Hawthorn has made a late change ahead of its Round 4 clash with North Melbourne.

Jonathon Patton will be sidelined due to a foot issue, with Mitch Lewis set to take his place up forward.

According to GM-Football Graham Wright, Patton sustained the injury at training on Saturday and was unable to prove his fitness in time.

“Jonny’s been working hard and learning our systems, so it’s unfortunate timing to have a setback, albeit minor.

“He’ll train through the week and we’re hopeful he’ll be available for selection ahead of Round 5.”

“We’re lucky that we have Mitch as a ready replacement. He’s perhaps been a bit unlucky to not have been selected yet this season.

“We saw last year what he’s capable of up forward, and we’re confident he’ll provide a strong target for us.”

The Hawks take on North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium at 6.10pm tonight.
