The good news we've all been waiting for!
Jarman Impey is back at last, headlining four Hawthorn changes as the side prepares to take on Carlton at Optus Stadium on Friday night.
It will mark Impey's long-awaited return to football after just over 12 months on the sidelines following a knee reconstruction.
Joining him amongst the team's inclusions are goalsneak Luke Breust, ruckman Jon Ceglar and key forward Tim O'Brien.
Breust has missed the past month with a broken jaw, while O'Brien (ankle) and Ceglar (toe) have been out for one and two weeks respectively.
GM - Football Graham Wright said the club was excited to welcome Impey back in to the team.
"Jars has worked really hard to get to this moment and we couldn't be happier for him," Wright said.
"He brings a real energy to our group so hopefully that will translate on Friday night and the boys can be really energised by his return.
"It's also great to have Luke back into the side after a month out.
"He’s an All Australian forward who’s been training hard and is ready to go."
Mitch Lewis, Keegan Brooksby, Darren Minchington and Josh Morris have all been omitted from the side.
The game will mark the 100th game milestones of both Jaeger O'Meara and Sam Frost, with the former able to celebrate the achievement in front of his home state crowd.
In other exciting news, Shaun Burgoyne will move into outright fifth place on the VFL/AFL all-time games played when he runs out against the Blues in his 384th game, surpassing Saint Robert Harvey.
