Shaun Burgoyne is in doubt ahead of Hawthorn’s Round 11 clash against Fremantle on Monday night, after pulling up sore during Hawthorn’s win over the Blues.

“Shaun came off early in the fourth quarter with a tight hamstring,” Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd said.

“It didn’t seem to be too bad at the time, but we decided given Shaun’s history it’s probably not worth taking the risk and putting him back out there.

“He’s actually pulled up pretty well.

“We had a scan done during the week that has shown that there isn’t a strain or a tear through that muscle, but he’s just got some general overload in the area.”

The Hawks’ selection panel will have until 5pm Sunday to make a decision on whether to include the veteran in Monday’s line up.

In other injury news, Jonathon Patton is now only a week away from full fitness in his recovery from a hamstring injury, while Ricky Henderson continues his knee rehab from Melbourne.
