Wingard streams towards goal

They're the team plays you love to see. Wingard had the perfect crumbing position when a long kick inside 50 drew the pack forward. Luke Breust gives the perfect shepherd, allowing his teammate to put on the skates and run into an open goal. A promising glimpse of what the Hawks are capable of.

"Gunston, he's so clever"

Week in, week out, Jack Gunston continues his ever-reliable form - and Saturday's match was no different. His first goal of the game was textbook intelligent football. He knew he was under immense pressure, but he maintained enough composure to find the gap through heavy traffic. Once again, Breust (goal assist) and Gunston link up to beautiful effect.

He does it again

If the first didn't convince you of this man's innate goal sense, this one should. Again, surrounded by heavy traffic, the Hawks number 19 throws it on the boot with exact precision, and sends it sky rocketing right through the middle of the big sticks. Seriously - what would we have done without him this year?
